I am currently developing a series of interdisciplinary solo projects for contemporary clarinet. Each work is shaped around a central concept that invites the audience into an immersive and reflective experience. This concept is explored through contemporary music as the central element, integrated with different media to build a narrative within an innovative concert format.
To develop these projects, I collaborate with composers and artists from different disciplines, whose perspectives help expand the artistic process and bring new insights to the work. I also compose myself and incorporate my own texts, performance, new technologies, and staging elements.
At the core of my work lies an inner need to reflect together—to ask questions that allow us to look at the same subject from different perspectives and through different media. I am particularly interested in exploring the non-graspable aspects of life, the space where fragility and vulnerability emerge when we face what cannot be fully held, defined, or understood.
I believe in rethinking the concert as a place of encounter and intimacy: a space where we share a specific time and place of open exchange for a limited moment - a really rare and valuable experience nowadays.
MY CREATION
Rethinking the concert experience
I DON’T KNOW, SO I GO INTO THE FOREST
©Viktoria Hofmarcher(pic)
An invitation to explore the feeling of being lost in deep uncertainty. Rather than escaping it, the story suggests facing it as a call to confront the unknown directly. To do so, we must enter the Forest.
Inspired by the book Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés and in collaboration with women artists.
FACE(S)
©Sofija Palurovic(pic)
An invitation to explore the multiple meanings of the word "face". Face, as the carrier of human expression. Faces, as diverse aspects or facets of something, the multiple identities. To face, the act of confronting or dealing with something.
Awarded 1st Prize in the Sounding Visions 2025.
SPEECHLESS (Upcoming)
A speech about speechlessness. In a world saturated with instantly accessible information, where everything seems within reach and definable, this project wants to explore the fragile moment where language reaches its limits and meaning escapes explanation.
Supported by the BMKÖS Startstipendium, and the MDW Career Center.
